Agenda-
- Take out your writer’s notebook and a pen. Take out your ROTHMC novel for a quick reading check.
- Quick discussion/recap of the meaning of social justice
- Watch and take notes on the short film Bullied Your notes should consist of: examples of injustices/inequalities, the important events that occur, and names of people involved. You will use this for your essay at the end of this unit. If you are absent, you may search Bullied on youtube to watch the short film.
**Annotation Requirements: Plot Summary (significant events that occur), Characterization (character traits/personality of the characters), Make Connections- (Text-to-text, text-to-self, text-to-world), Personal Reactions (anything that you have an emotion about), and Significant Questions (do not do yes or no questions or questions that may be answered by the end of the chapter).
Homework-
Vocabulary Unit 2- annotate for main ideas- due Monday.
Read and annotate chapter 5 of ROTHMC due Thursday. BOOK CLUB/Small Group Seminar will be Friday. The Host must bring 4 significant questions for discussion and food is optional. The other members of the group must bring 2 significant questions for discussion. The book club will be on chapters 4-5
Read 40+ pages, due every Monday, of your Independent Reading.
